Appeals Committee

The Appeals Committee is a consultative body which presents its independent opinion to the HAKA Vocational Education Quality Assessment Council on the justification of the appeal submitted on the proceedings or opinions of the Council. The Appeals Committee is appointed for a term of three years and consists of three members and alternates. The Committee is convened on the basis of need.

The constitution of the Committee is regulated in the document Procedure for formation of Estonian Vocational Education Quality Assessment Council and the Appeals Committee.

The HAKA Supervisory Board has approved the composition of the Committee on 8.08.2022 as follows:

Members nominated by the Estonian Qualifications Authority

  • member Tiia Randma, board member at Estonian Qualifications Authority
  • alternate member Maris Saarsalu, coordinator at Estonian Qualifications Authority

Members nominated by the Estonian Employers’ Confederation

  • member Maria Kütt, Chairman of the Board of PARE
  • alternate member Indrek Peterson, CEO of the Estonian Association of Construction Entrepreneurs
