EKKA welcomes twinning partners from Azerbaijan

Within the framework of quality assessment of the business and administration study programme group taking place in autumn 2016 and spring 2017, the expert assessment committee will be visiting Estonian Business School (EBS), Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EMTA) and Tallinn University (TLU) during the week of 5-9 December 2016.

The visit is made special by the fact that alongside members of the assessment committee, the team also comprises two twinning partners from Azerbaijan: Mr Tofig Ahmadov from the Department of Higher Education at the Azerbaijan Ministry for Education and Mr Elshan Nur from the recently established Accreditation and Nostrification Office.

The guests will participate as observers in the work of the business and administration assessment committee, will learn about links between strategic management and external evaluation in higher education as well as participation of students at Tallinn University, will be given an overview of the cooperation between the education institution and employers at the TTK University of Applied Sciences, will hear about the good practice of learning and teaching as well as about the system of teaching staff attestations at the University of Tartu and will meet representatives of the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research for an overview of the management and planned developments in the area of quality assurance in higher education.

The guests from Azerbaijan will visit Estonia under the auspices of the joint twinning project of the Finnish and Estonian quality assurance agencies and will continue on to Finland to learn about the Finnish system of quality assurance.
