Estonian experts participate in international assessments of VET
With assistance from the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA), Estonian vocational education experts participate in international peer reviews aimed at ensuring quality in vocational education institutions.
Vocational schools and vocational training experts from Croatia, Finland, Slovenia and Estonia are participating in the EQAVET joint project “Promoting the use of transnational peer reviews by updating the criteria”. The project team updated the quality assurance assessment areas (quality assurance system, strategic planning and management, partnership, international relations, etc.).
In March 2020, a training seminar for school and assessment teams took place in Finland. One vocational school from each partner country will participate, focusing on two areas of assessment. The Tallinn School of Economics will participate from Estonia, and the assessment visit will take place in January 2021.
The first online assessment visit took place on 2-3 December at the Keuda Vocational Training Center in Finland. The team of experts included Indrek Jänes, who is a lecturer at the Tallinn School of Economics.
Riinu Raasuke from Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, Rein Oselin from Järva County Vocational Training Centre and Karmen Selter from Viljandi Vocational Training Centre are also participating in the project as international experts.
