From 26 October until 3 November the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA) welcomes two colleagues from Japan and Malaysia for the purpose of work shadowing. The project, implemented with support from the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, is aimed at giving insight into quality assurance principles and practices in Estonia as well as in Europe to specialists in the field of external quality assurance from ASEM countries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

EKKA is happy to welcome Sayaka Adachi from the International Affairs Division, National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education in Japan and Zubaidah Aman, Director of Accreditation Division (Arts and Humanities), Malaysian Qualifications Agency.<\/p>\n

The guests will have a chance to learn about the Estonian higher education assessment system both in theory and in practice \u2013 on top of hearing about the assessment system, the guests will participate as observers in the assessment visit of the Music and Performing Arts study programme group to University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, Tallinn University and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Furthermore, the guests will hear about the work of EKKA and the Archimedes Foundation as well as meet representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, the Estonian Qualifications Authority and the Information Technology Foundation in Education. There will also be a joint international mini-seminar held with colleagues from the Agency for Science and Higher Education in Croatia.<\/p>\n

Last year, EKKA welcomed colleagues from Vietnam and Thailand under the auspices of a similar project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
