The Appeals Committee is appointed for a term of three years and consists of four members and alternates. The Committee is convened on the basis of need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work of the Committee is regulated by the document <strong>Procedure for formation of Estonian Higher Education Quality&nbsp;Assessment Council and the Appeals Committee<\/strong> and can be found under&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/haka.ee\/en\/regulations\/\">regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Members of the Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The HAKA Supervisory Board has approved the composition of the Appeals Committee on 10 December 2025 as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/ern.ee\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rector&#8217; Conference<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>member T\u00f5nis Karki, <em>Academic Secretary, University of Tartu<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alternate member Endla Reintam, <em>Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Estonian University of Life Sciences<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rkrn.ee\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rectors&#8217; Conference of Universities of Applied Science<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>member Gerit Dreyersdorff, <em>Quality Manager, Tartu Applied Health Sciences University<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alternate member Kristi Ploom, <em>Development Manager, Pallas University of Applied Sciences<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.employers.ee\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Estonian Employers&#8217; Confederation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>member <span lang=\"ET\">J\u00fcri J\u00f5ema<\/span>, <em>Estonian Association for Information and Communication Technology, Advisor<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alternate member&nbsp;Raul Aron, <em>Head of the Economy and Education Division,<\/em> <em>Estonian Employers&#8217; Confederation<\/em> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/eyl.ee\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Estonian Federation of Student Unions<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>member Teele Kanarbik, <em>University of Tartu, student<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alternate member&nbsp;Nora Eensalu, <em>Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), student<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Appeals Committee is a consultative body which presents its independent opinion to the HAKA Higher Education Quality Assessment Council on the justification of the appeal submitted on the proceedings or opinions of the Council.
