{"id":4718,"date":"2017-06-14T10:51:02","date_gmt":"2017-06-14T10:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ekka.edu.ee\/en\/?page_id=4718"},"modified":"2026-02-05T16:32:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T14:32:50","slug":"agency-review-ekka","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/haka.ee\/en\/agency-review-ekka\/","title":{"rendered":"Agency Review of HAKA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As a prerequisite for application to become a member of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enqa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ENQA <\/a>and maintain its membership, a quality assurance agency has to undergo an external review against the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.enqa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/ESG_2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area<\/a>&nbsp;(ESG) every 5 years. Undergoing this kind of external evaluation is also a requirement for agencies which are included in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqar.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Quality Assurance Register<\/a>&nbsp;(EQAR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As HAKA is a full member of ENQA and registered with&nbsp;EQAR since 2013<\/strong>. <strong>HAKA membership was renewed in 2018 and 2023 and is valid until 29 February 2028.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The review is based on the following principles:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The review is an evidence-based process carried out by independent experts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The agency prepares a self-assessment report in which it analyses the compliance of its activities with European standards and guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The information provided by the agency is assumed to be factually correct unless evidence points to the contrary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The review panel conducts an assessment visit and prepares a report assessing the agency&#8217;s compliance with requirements of the standards on the following scale: &#8220;compliant&#8221;, &#8220;partially compliant&#8221;, &#8220;not compliant&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Based on the panel&#8217;s assessments, the ENQA Board and EQAR&#8217;s Register Committee will make final decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The review process is transparent and outputs are published.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The review process is transparent and outputs are published. on ENQA and EQAR websites.
