The institutional accreditation model developed throigh the project was designed to comply with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enqa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/ESG_2015.pdf\">European standards and guidelines (ESG)<\/a> while taking into account the Ukrainian higher education context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, the model was piloted in three higher education institutions in Ukraine, which had submitted applications and were selected to participate in the pilot accreditation. HAKA and NAQA staff organised self-evaluation trainings for the institutions involved in the pilot process. Three assessment panels, composed of both Estonian and Ukrainian experts, were formed; they conducted either onsite or hybrid (onsite + online) visits to the institutions and prepared assessment reports. Finally, accreditation decisions were made by the <a href=\"https:\/\/haka.ee\/en\/quality-assessment-council\/\">HAKA Quality Assessment Council for Higher Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation in the pilot accreditations provided several benefits for the institutions involved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The institutions gained experience in international institutional accreditation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Institutional representatives received training from HAKA and NAQA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The institutions received feedback and recommendations for developing their internal quality assurance systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The institutions had the opportunity to benchmark their internal quality assurance systems against the ESG 2015 standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Institutions that complied with the institutional accreditation standards received official institutional accreditation from HAKA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/haka.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/Project-activities-and-timeline.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project activities and timeline<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/haka.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/IA_procedure_Ukraine-2024-1.pdf\">Institutional accreditation guidelines<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/haka.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/Assessment_Report_TEMPLATE.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assessment Report Template<\/a> (Word document)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stukalo, N., Butenko, A., Yeremenko, O.
